Is there a new video? My Sapphire looks nothing like this inside

Dear Thermador, I viewed the video above and had the same issue as customers below. Water poured out of the area where my new filter was to go when I started to remove the old one. I am more than disappointed and my have been trying to dry my wood floor for hours and don't know what damage has been done. I read the comments after this happened (I can't believe I didn't read them before). I don't understand why this video is still available on UA-cam if the infomation is incorrect. Please have Thermador Customer Care reach out to me to try to correct the damage that has been done. Thank you.

I cannot imagine owning one and having to bend and glare at that TFT display in order to see anything that’s going on the oven.

The link you provided for the pans doesn't show any pans. Where can we get these? Are there other brands we can use with this feature?

it takes FOREVER for our machine to descale - I'm talking HOURS! It's so frustrating to go through this once a month; the machine is 'out of service' for a least a day and a half while it descales. I am following the instructions - not sure what the problem is..... ready to get rid of it and find something that requires less maintenance.

Unbelievable. I am house sitting and just want to make a cup of instant oatmeal. This Thermador microwave is exasperating.The hell with it!

The Thermador speed oven appliance is catastrophically bad... it ruins your entire kitchen. It's like a Fisher-Price appliance. I would assume that this appliance was produced by junior marketing interns without proper oversight by real product managers. This is a product so bad that I'd recommend Wolf for everything. I have massive regret for choosing Thermador. True garbage. You take your own chances folks.

There is a certain consistency to producing these horrific trainwreck videos for one of the worst appliances ever made. I guess it makes sense to be vague and aloof when your product is so poorly designed. Terrible presenter, useless info.

I am cooking a roast and the door just exploded open about 5 inches and closed again. Like it burped! why did that happen? It was like there was a lot of pressure.

This stove is great but cleaning it is a huge pain. Always streaky and if oils sprays it takes 2 -4 times to get it streak free. Not only does soapy water make it streak. Any cleaner streaks. We have. Black top. Not stainless steel. Still streaks like crazy. So annoying

What materials are the accessories made with? Stainless steel? Aluminum?

We are really enjoying our fridge and now the filter cartridge needs to be switched out. I've read comments that if I pull out the current filter to be prepared that water will spill out. How do I avoid this? The fridge does not have a water dispenser but it has an ice maker. Can anyone help? Thanks

I have the same problem as Elizabeth M below. Thermador website says my model number T181D800LP/62 is invalid and will only show me a Bypass Filter device. Can you provide a link to the correct filter for that model? Thx

Thermador UPDATE***CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! I have now had my Thermador appliances for 8 years. Unfortunately our refrigerator has stopped cooling because of a "sealed system leak". It is my understanding that it is an unusual problem. Because Thermador advertises their product as a "luxury appliance" with "unmatched performance" I have reached out to them to stand behind their words (and product) and cover the repair costs. They have taken my information and "will be in touch". I am posting this as a warning to consumers, think twice before you spend a large amount of money on an appliance because it is supposed to be a High -End product. I purchased a Kenmore refrigerator 18 years ago that continues to perform and I paid a fraction of the price. The Kenmore has out performed the Thermador.

These filters are NOT easy to insert. The video is misleading in that regard. It requires a lot of pressure to push it in and then turn it fully. You need to make a more accurate video.

Legitimately the worst microwave ive ever used

I bought my Thermador 48" range in Jan 2021, I've had 8 service calls on it. I'm happy I got the extended warranty. Its always the control boards. There's a main board and a daughter board. I paid almost $10,000.00 for it, and I have never been more disappointed in a purchase in my whole life. I love it when its working, but its been broken 8 times. I had to remodel my kitchen to fit it in. Very disappointed.

Where do I buy the pan?

Volume is very loud even on the lowest setting. Is there a way to mute?

@Thermador....I have a 31" W x 19" D cooktop cut out. What is available for that "30 inch" cooktop size these days? I can't any that are in this size. Our counter tops are tile with wood cabinets, drawers and doors below which leaves us with little to no options to modify existing cabinets/counter tops.

If you want a dishwasher designed by people who never use a dishwasher, this is the one for you. I've never had a dishwasher where you open the door, turn it on and press start and it DOESN'T start. I've also never needed a smartphone to run my dishwasher. Technology for technology's sake.

When I went to the Thermador site to buy a replacement water filter and typed in my model number, no replacement filters display. Only a water bypass filter seems to be available This has been the case for the past several months. Where can I buy a replacement water filter for the T36BT910NS/03 refrigerator/freezer? What is the part model number? Thanks.

Lol yeah I'm sure this video makes installation look easier than it actually is. Also keep in mind that this is from 10 years ago and I think that Thermador/Bosch have updated their mounting for the door panels. So this may not apply to current refrigerator models. I am in that boat, trying to reuse an older Thermador panel on a newer Bosch column. I called Bosch owner support and they are pretty much hands off, saying that they do not handle installation (of which I got a quote for $900!!). We'll see how things are when we actually get the new Bosch delivered in a couple weeks. In the meantime, their installation manuals are pretty hard to understand, videos are far simpler.

OMG! I wish that I had read this before purchasing all Thermador appliances for our new home! I am so disappointed with many things, but the absolute worse is the microwave! The on/off chime can wake up the dead! And having to push many buttons and slide through many options to do the simplest things is exasperating!! I am using my daughter's microwave from college! Sitting on the kitchen counter of my brand new designer kitchen~ And cleaning it, is/was a challenge - the door opening from top to bottom makes wiping the back of it impossible!

Why is that leaking out? Classic Allan! I'm glad to see a new video and great work putting all the ingredients and steps in description.

I'm so tired of watching videos and reading blogs that talk about how healthy steam cooking it, how it cooks food faster, how food tastes better... but I can't find recipes or any information on how to adjust recipes for cooking with a steam oven.

Why not start with running the machine? Step one is interrupting an already started washer? And why doesn't the actual screen tell you whether the washer has started or paused?

Cut to the chase Thermador: The problem with this speed oven isn't that people don't know how to use it. The problem is that your design is a shining example of incompetence in product design. It's like it was designed by somebody who doesn't actually use a microwave. You have two knobs on this, yet nearly everything requires three or four touches of the screen. Every microwaves has a "one button" 30 seconds or minute feature... but not Thermador, because they've never actually seen a microwave. They are too busy softening their meats like Chef John says. What about all the endless scrolling to set the minutes on the timer? Who approved that nonsense? Nobody likes that. Also, everybody who owns this thing HATES the chime. It comes from a tiny little speaker that Thermador spec'd on the cheap and it was a horrible choice. The design on this is so bad that Thermador should recall it. It makes me think less of everything else they make. What other cheap corners did they cut? Sure, you can see the cheapness on the surface of the speed oven, but that also means their ranges and refrigerators are filled with cheapo nonsense design failures. Customer service cannot fix a failed design that should never have been put into the marketplace.

Can I use the convection oven while the "carousel" parts are still in the oven? Goddam I hate watching this guy, waiting for him to say something useful which never comes. 10% increments.... that's how this guy stumbles through what SHOULD BE IN A WRITTEN MANUAL **Edit** I can't believe they spent 20 seconds talking about Chef John's love of soft ice cream and nothing about how to actually use this piece of poorly conceived junk.

This appliance is an embarrassment and a ripoff. Want to do a quick minute to reheat something? Get ready to push a few buttons, wait for a screen to lead, and then listen to cellphone speaker from 1998 chime way louder than the volume it was designed for. Terrible design... and there's no manual. Instead you have to watch a video. Thanks Thermador, but I'm a professional. I don't have time for videos. Seriously, whoever approved this design should be fired. I don't take that statement lightly. But I mean it. Whoever put this abomination into the marketplace should be fired... even if they don't work for Bosch/Thermador anymore. They need to track down that person and make sure they never work in product development ever again. A true abomination, and this "chef" makes me laugh. "Softening up tough meat" is right, pal.
